You’ve probably seen incredible parkour videos on Youtube of people running, jumping, rolling, and vaulting through urban spaces. While parkour started on the ramps and walls of cities, today there are lots of dedicated parkour gyms and training areas to practice. Check out these four places to do parkour around Vancouver.
Hastings Parkour Park, Vancouver
Head to the east side of Hastings Park near Empire Field to find Vancouver’s dedicated outdoor parkour space. It has concrete obstacles for jumps and lots of bars for swinging and pull-ups. The wooden rollercoaster makes for a great photo backdrop.

Origins Parkour, Vancouver and Port Moody
The Vancouver location of Origins Parkour was one of the first parkour gyms in Canada. The 10,000 square foot space has a foam pit, walls for climbing, bars for swinging, and rails for jumping and vaulting. You can sign up for adult or kids classes, or try out the equipment during their open practice time slots. They also have a smaller gym in Port Moody.

Hazelgrove Park, Surrey
Head to Surrey’s Clayton neighbourhood to experience the city’s first purpose-built parkour course at Hazelgrove Park. It has lots of concrete obstacles and metal bars for practicing tricks and the entire thing is set on a soft shock-absorbing rubber surface.

Penzer Park, Langley
Langley’s Penzer Park has one of Canada’s largest outdoor parkour facilities. A huge collection of wooden structures allow for endless climbing and jumping, best for bigger kids and adults. There’s also a smaller parkour zone with woodchips and faux rocks that’s great for little ones.
