Vancouver has long been a destination where young Irish people go to enjoy a summer or two but many have forgotten to come home, and who could blame them? There’s no other city in the world with more natural beauty on its doorstep. It’s a year-round destination because of its easy access to outdoor recreations, which include hiking in the summer and skiing and snowboarding in the winter.

Even if you don’t put down roots, Vancouver makes for a wonderful city break. Its food scene has been lifted to new heights with the arrival in 2022 of the Michelin Guide, and there is a huge range of restaurants to choose from with exciting and authentic food from across the world.
