COVID-19 UPDATE & GOVERNMENT RESPONSE
|
- Effective April 1, 2022 fully vaccinated travellers will no longer need to provide a pre-entry COVID-19 test result to enter Canada by air, land or water. All travellers continue to be required to submit their mandatory information in ArriveCAN before their arrival in Canada.

New Spring Campaign – Submit Your Special Offers As we head into peak season with the return of travel and cruise, we want you to be involved in Destination Vancouver's new campaign. Our spring campaign, launching in April, will promote Vancouver to BC, Alberta, and Ontario audiences, as well as to Washington State. We invite our attraction, event, sport, hotel, culinary, wellness, and arts & culture members to share new or updated special offers for this promotion, by emailing our Marketing Agency. These could include offers such as discounts, value-add, third night free, or any offer that encourages a sense of urgency (such as inclusive of event tickets), greater spend (through incentivized activity consumption), or longer stay (through rewards or savings). Full-day and multi-day touring and sightseeing product is also encouraged, particularly for experiences that are themed around wellness, culinary, arts and culture, and anything quintessential Vancouver. When submitting a new or updated offer, please provide:

- One-sentence offer description
- Photo
- URL
- Offer expiration date (if applicable)
If you have spring-themed products or experiences, please send that information as well. More to come on specific campaign concepts and themes. Please also ensure your member listings are up-to-date, including the COVID-19 Amenity updates (via the Member Extranet). |

Vancouver’s craft brewery scene has been exploding over the last decade. This growth has been an incredibly exciting development for beer enthusiasts. However, beer production consumes considerable resources, such as water, and leads to waste, primarily in the form of spent grain. Breweries in the city are very aware of the issue and engaging in a variety of innovative solutions to reuse or upcycle spent grain.

Canadian Society of Association Executives Ottawa-Gatineau Tête-à-Tête April 6, 2022 | Ottawa – in person CSAE Ottawa-Gatineau's most popular event, Tête-à-Tête, is back in-person this year! Association and not-for-profit leaders, meeting and event planners, and government procurers from across the country attend this event. Destination Vancouver is a sponsor. We will also be participating in Ottawa Meet Week , a lineup of meeting and association industry events hosted that week. MPI Chicago Area Chapter Industry Xchange (IX) 2022 April 7, 2022 | In-Person, Old Post Office Chicago | Virtual option available In partnership with local industry chapters such as PCMA GMC, SITE Chicago, Destination Reps, IAEE Midwest, NACE, EDPA Midwest, and ILEA. IX provides new perspectives on key trends and issues facing the meetings industry today through thought-provoking keynotes, educational learning labs, and lively networking opportunities. SITE (Society for Incentive Travel Excellence) Global Conference April 20-23, 2022 | In-person Dublin, Ireland SITE is a professional association of 2,500 members located in 90 countries, working in corporations, agencies, airlines, cruise companies and across the entire destination supply chain. Vancouver very successfully hosted this event in January 2020 with record attendance. We are a partner/sponsor at the 2022 conference along with Destination Canada Business Events and Cantrav. Dave Gazley will be leading this initiative on behalf of Destination Vancouver.
