DESTINATION VANCOUVER NEWS
Destination Vancouver is embarking on a significant consumer marketing campaign in Los Angeles this week. The US Market is still rebuilding for Vancouver, and Southern California represents the area of greatest market potential with several daily flights, short travel time and a large, affluent population. And now, with the easing of final border restrictions, this campaign will strive to make Vancouver a top-of-mind travel brand, and the best choice for travel within the Pacific North West. The campaign, called Go North-ER, highlights the more epic level of experience to be had by going just a little beyond Portland and Seattle. The message will be distributed via streaming tv and pre-roll video, a series of out-of-home units, search, social and digital ads, and through a partnership package with AEG including in-game and venue advertising during LA Kings games. This partnership will also extend into 2023 and 24, and will eventually include LA Galaxy games and LA Live site activations. The LA campaign will drive to a series of landing pages, and will contribute to Destination Vancouver’s KPI of member referrals.

BUSINESS INSIGHTS
From October 17 to 23, there will be one cruise ship arriving at the Port of Vancouver. A total of seven known convention meetings are coming next week, along with one trade show, UNFI Canada: Innovation Showcase West, and three consumer shows, including the Vancouver Fall Home Show, the Baby Show Vancouver, and the Vancouver Health Show. With more convention meetings, consumer and trade shows coming up, we are seeing a corresponding increase in both hotel demand and air bookings for next week compared to the current week.
