Discount Program for Cruise Passengers with Ceres Terminals
Last year, Ceres Terminals implemented a discount program for cruise ship passengers to encourage them to experience and explore our amazing city prior to their embarkation time as a way of avoiding large crowds in the terminal building.
The program was so successful that Ceres wants to launch it again. They are looking to put together a list of activities including attractions, shopping, restaurants, and retail, where cruise passengers can get a discount by showing their boarding pass, and allow them to experience/explore the city from ahead of the turn to board a cruise ship at their designated embarkation time.
If you are interested in providing a discount for cruise passengers, please send an email to Kierra McGivney-King, Supervisor, Ground Transportation and Cruise Programs to kmcgivney-king@ceresglobal.com

DINE OUT 2023 - STREET FOOD CITY
|
|
Now in it’s 11th year, Street Food City is Vancouver’s original food truck festival and pod – started here in Destination Vancouver as part of Dine Out Vancouver Festival before food truck fests were even a thing in our city. Modelled after the food truck pods made famous in Portland, Oregon, Street Food City runs all week through to Sunday, features a rotating selection of food trucks daily serving up delicious eats, has tented seating areas, and this year, is a collaboration with Lunar Fest and Lantern City – with a beautiful lantern installation at the foot of the steps of the Art Gallery.

MEDIA HIGHLIGHTS
|
Boardroom
"A great part of the 2022 Global Forum, hosted by Destination Vancouver, was about sustainability and showcased projects that came as a nice follow-up to Wonderful Copenhagen’s Legacy Lab, which Boardroom already extensively wrote about, and Madrid Convention Bureau’s Madrid Challenge, which saw the light of day last year when associations took the pledge to incorporate legacy into their RFPs. "
AMI Magazine
"It’s clear from many of the reports out there that sustainability is very high on everyone’s agenda; ‘we’ve always done it this way’ doesn’t wash anymore – meetings need to have a purpose beyond the traditional economic metrics. We need to meet in a socially responsible way taking into consideration carbon footprints, and the impact of activities on the local environment and its communities. This conversation needs to happen now."
