Province Provides $30 Million in Support for Fairs, Festivals, Events
Through the B.C. Fairs, Festivals and Events (BCFFE) fund, the Government of B.C. is providing $30 million in one-time grants to eligible events in response to challenges the sector is facing, such as loss of staffing and volunteers, supply-chain issues, and a cautious return of audiences. Grant amounts will be as much as 20% of the total event budget, to a maximum of $250,000.
Applications will be accepted until March 3, 2023. Events between April 1, 2023, and December 31, 2024, are eligible for funding. Organizations are encouraged to submit their applications as soon as possible.
Details on the application process can be found here.

Make your voice heard in the run-up to the federal budget
Last summer, the Government of Canada launched the Tourism Growth Strategy Consultation to help our industry, which was uniquely the hardest hit by the pandemic.
Throughout the summer, Coalition of Hardest Hit Businesses engaged members to gather input on what the government should focus on in the Tourism Growth Strategy to achieve its goals of increasing growth, investment, and stability.
The Coalition is encouraging our members to add their voice to ensure that the Strategy is adequately financed via Budget 2023.
