Thank you for Making our Spring Member Mixer a resounding success!
Last Thursday’s Member Mixer at Granville Island’s Improv Centre was a new one for Destination Vancouver: after the requisite networking, we were treated to a 30-minute improv session with the Centre’s house team quickly getting everyone into the participatory spirit.
A big thank you to Northern Bars for their delicious treats (a DVan fave) and to the Improv Centre for their hospitality.
The Improv Centre wants to thank Destination Vancouver members by offering 15% off a corporate booking, Improv for Business service, or venue rental. The offer is valid on engagements from now through to October 30 this year. Contact bookings@theimprovcentre.ca to inquire about dates, prices, and availability.
And we want to hear from you if you have interesting suggestions for a member event. Send your ideas to Cristina Hernandez.
See you at our next event!

While there is no known city-wide event on the books from April 3 to 9, there will be three events held at the Vancouver Convention Centre; including: ADIDAS Warehouse Sale, North Shore Round Up and Courage to Come Back Awards Gala. We are seeing a decrease in hotel bookings and overall air bookings for next week compared to the current week.

We are delighted to share the visitor volume statistics for 2022 and January 2023
Vancouver welcomed approximately 8.8 million overnight visitors in 2022, which is 80% of 2019 levels. Domestic visitors made up 70% of the total, followed by US, at 19% and the rest oversea. We are off to a strong start in 2023, over 584,000 visitors arrived in January, over 90% of 2019 levels. Strong growth was seen from major markets including the US, Australia, and Mexico, which drove most of the volume.
