According to our next weekly forecast from Oct 23 to 29, the last cruise ship will be arriving on Oct 24, with more than 4k passengers. The 2023 cruise season will officially end by next week.
There are four meetings on the books from our Destination Vancouver CRM, along with one concert at Rogers Arena – Tool, Oct 23. Five more events will be held at Vancouver Convention Centre during the same period. We are seeing decreases in both hotel bookings and air bookings for the next week compared to the current week.

Province introduces short-term rental legislation
On October 16, the Province tabled the Short Term Rental Accommodations Act in order to rein-in short-term rentals.
According to the provincial government, B.C.’s short-term rental market is now at an all-time high, diverting potentially thousands of long-term rental homes onto the short-term market.
The legislation, if passed, would increase fines, improve enforcement and ban most short-term rentals that aren’t in the operator’s principal residence.
