From October 30 to November 5, we have five meetings on the books along with three more events at the Vancouver Convention Centre. There is one concert at Rogers Arena in the coming week:
- Live Nation Canada - Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band 2023 Tour, Nov 3rd.
We are seeing decreases in both hotel bookings and air bookings for next week compared to the current week.

Canada Beef invites you to Burger It Forward 2024!
Burger It Forward is a giveback initiative created by Canada’s beef farmers and ranchers to support restaurants and food banks across Canada. The 2023 campaign was a tremendous success, with more than $53,000 raised for 16 food banks across Canada and more than 29,000 burgers sold at 112 participating restaurants across the country. On November 6 at the Fairmont Pacific Rim, WORTH Association (Women of Recreation, Tourism & Hospitality) is bringing back Yes Shef: Elevating Women in Food & Beverage, a fundraiser that spotlights women in culinary. Enjoy tasting and mingling, live music, an awards presentation, and over $20,000 worth of prizes at a silent auction. Proceeds from ticket sales and the silent auction will go to scholarships and the development of essential programming and resources for the next generation of hospitality leaders.

This trip will includes sales calls and client events. Idy Wong will be leading this initiative on behalf of Destination Vancouver.

The World Meetings Forum (WMF) will bring back the opportunity to gather the leaders of the MICE industry in one place with the objective of sharing information, presenting a complete education program, and providing the best business opportunities and various networking activities. Luke Snyder and Margarita Valle will be leading this initiative on behalf of Destination Vancouver.

Destination Canada – Japan and South Korea Sales Mission
November 6-10, 2023
Destination Vancouver will participate in Destination Canada’s Japan and South Korea Sales Mission. Participating in the sales mission will provide insight for the markets post-pandemic and to assess new opportunities for our destination. The sales mission will include market updates, strategic meetings with Key Accounts, airline meetings and a media conference, all with a focus on the fall travel period. Krista Alcazar will be attending on behalf of Destination Vancouver.
