BUSINESS RESOURCES & ADVOCACY

Support the BC Hospitality Foundation’s Spirit of Hospitality Lottery

The BC Hospitality Foundation raises funds to support those in the hospitality industry facing financial crisis due to a health condition.

With more than $30,000 in prizes to be won, there are still 17 days left to purchase your tickets before the final draw on December 10.

Get your tickets here.

Created in 2017 by the Hotel Association of Vancouver to support hospitality workers, the lottery is the Foundation's largest annual fundraiser. The lottery’s goal this year is to raise $100,000 to support hospitality workers.

See Monday’s story on Global News.

The BC Chamber of Commerce is supporting CanAssist at the University of Victoria who is developing resources, specifically for employers, to help them address the barriers and tap into this large pool of eager job seekers and needs employers’ help to determine which resources would be most valuable.

Young people (aged 15-30) with disabilities want to work, yet they remain an under-utilized part of the labour force due to barriers faced in their job search.

At the BC Chamber of Commerce, we strongly advocate for creating a more inclusive workplace. Please join us and take 3-5 minutes to complete this 10-question survey.

Info Sessions on Applying for the Tourism Growth Program

The federal government’s Tourism Growth Program (TGP) aims to help small and medium-sized businesses, tourism organizations, and local communities to grow and develop tourism products and experiences that position Canada as a destination of choice.

The $108 million TGP provides regionally tailored funding over three years to support communities, businesses and not-for-profit organizations in growing and developing local tourism projects and events.
