DESTINATION VANCOUVER NEWS
Destination Vancouver has partnered with WORTH Association to support their efforts in advancing gender equity and to educate, elevate and empower women of recreation, tourism and hospitality.
As a member of the WORTH Leadership Circle, Destination Vancouver will work closely with the WORTH team over the coming years to ensure that together we foster a tourism and hospitality industry as diverse as Vancouver.
Destination Vancouver will also be a Gold Sponsor for WORTH’s Empower Her event in Vancouver on March 6 with Candice Gibson, Director of Brand & Marketing, as part of the inspiring panel discussion.
“I'm thrilled to be associated with Empower Her because the contribution and the leadership that women bring to our industry is significant and to be celebrated,“ said Candice. “Some of the most powerful tools women can draw on in their career are the knowledge and insights of other women."

BUSINESS INSIGHTS
From February 20 to 26, there will be four known meetings. In addition, two more events will be held at the Vancouver Convention Centre: 2023 Taekwondo Canada Open (February 23 to 25) and ESI Vancouver Beauty Expo (February 26 to 27). Many of the large citywide events started this week and will end next week, therefore we are seeing a decrease in both hotel and air bookings to Vancouver for the following week.
