Virtuoso Travel Week 2023 in Las Vegas brought together five thousand top luxury travel professionals and providers from over 100 countries. During the event, Natalia Welsh and Ana Vazquez participated in "Globetrotting," where they highlighted Vancouver's diverse and remarkable culinary scene. Additionally, they engaged in 185 one-on-one appointments, meetings, and exchanges with industry partners.

BUSINESS INSIGHTS

From September 4-10, 16 cruise ships will be arriving with around 59K passengers. There are four meetings on the books, along with two concerts at Rogers Arena:
- Live Nation Canada – The Chicks World Tour 2023, Sep 5.
- Live Nation Canada – 50 Cent: The Final Lap Tour, Sep 8.
Five more events are being held at the Vancouver Convention Centre during this time including:
- Aritzia Warehouse Sale, Aug 29 – Sep 4.
- CPABC Career Week, Sep 6 – 8.
- Fully Charged LIVE Canada, Sep 8 – 10.
- Velospoke Bike Expo, Sep 8.
- Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series Vancouver 2023, Sep 9 – 10.
We are seeing a moderate change in hotel bookings and a decrease in air bookings for next week compared to the current week.

Maritz Elevate Client Event
September 11-14, 2023 | Orlando
Maritz annual partner event, bringing together clients, suppliers and Maritz team members for a variety of education sessions, 1-on-1 meetings, wellbeing activations, and networking. Vancouver will be hosting this prestigious event in 2024. Jackie Kavcak and Dave Gazley will be leading this initiative on behalf of Destination Vancouver.

This ASAE event is exclusively created and designed for association CEOs, providing opportunities to network, learn, and discuss critical issues facing associations today. This annual event allows each participating destination partner to host three top ASAE clients. Vancouver is very pleased to partner with three citywide clients; Entomological Society of America, Geological Society of America and the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation. Dave Gazley will be leading this initiative on behalf of Destination Vancouver.
